Willcom, Sharp and Microsoft launched the Advance ES Smartphone
Microsoft is not just producing mobile operating systems, but also joins efforts to build smartphones too. The Advance ES Smartphone is the end result of their collaboration with Willcom and Sharp. Unfortunately the phone only uses the Willcom PHS network, but that maybe will change, as Advance ES it a very interesting device.
First of all we have a VGA slider with QWERTY keyboard, a fast CPU, Intel PXA270 at 520 MHz, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, running Windows Mobile 6. All that is contained in a 50 x 135 x 17.9 mm and 157 grams. From what I’ve seen the only problem with Advance ES is that it’s not to advanced when it comes to supported GSM networks, but still is a great device, if you live in Japan.
