Wallet from the keyboard

Wallet from the keyboard

People put up together bizarre things when they are bored i guess. For example, take this nice looking wallet made by someone from his old keyboard. Not only does this thing have an unique design, but it is also usable.

The ingredientsTo start the transformations you’ll need a couple of “ingredients”:

  • the old computer keyboard (i say old, but you can also use your Logitech DiNuovo if you want to…)
  • some packing tape
  • a pair of scissors and a sharp knife
  • screwdriver to unmount the keyboard

You will also need a lot of patience and a drum of hard work, cause this job ain’t easy. The raw material for the wallet is the circuit sheet inside the keyboard, which is durable, thin and odd looking. I won’t go over the entire process of building, because you can check it out on the producer’s site. I’ll just mention the results. Like you can see from the pictures, we get a nice wallet, perfect for our money, cards and ids. Being transparent might be a problem, the content attracting the vigilant burglars’ eyes. But as long as you are careful, you won’t have any problems.

And this is the result

Some people said that this wallets could be sold on EBay for lots of money, but i kind of doubt it. And considering the amount of work and care needed to get the perfect result, i for one won’t sell the keyboard wallets cheap at all…
