Vieta So Line cordless speaker systemUsually if you want to listen to your tunes loudly, you have to use your powerful home theater in the living-room. If you’re outside you can’t really throw a party with your friends using iPod speakers docking stations. Of course everyone can use their iPod but that’s not the same so here comes handy Vieta’s So Line cordless speaker system.

This time we’re not speaking of wireless systems with rear speakers that receive the sound waves wirelessly, but a completely wireless system, with lithium-ion battery, which offers up to 8 hours of good times away from the power outlet. The core of the So Line is So Cube, the main speaker that integrates a 3" omnidirectional 8 ohm dual-cone driver, a Garwood radio receiver and a 12W amplifier.

So Cube’s design, a little Appleish, brought Vieta a IF product design award in 2007. If you look at the pictures you can clearly see why. The whole system is modular, and can be assembled in various configurations. Control of So Line is made via an infrared remote. What Vieta describes as an advantage is the fact that the sound emitted by So Line is mono or omnidirectional, evenly distributed at 360 degrees, so you won’t have any troubles setting up the system, no dead-zones or hot spots.
