What makes the VIA NanoBook great is not it’s small size or it’s capability to run fully fledget operating systems, like Windows XP or Vista, but its price: 600 $. For that you get a 7 inch screen subnotebook with a via C7-M ULV CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz, up to 1 GB DDR memory, a 30/60 GB hard drive, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. We’ve also got a video preview. Hmm. I love the size and how light it must be, but is that really a good price point? I mean, I can get a dell ubuntu laptop for the same price, and that comes with a dual core processor.

Well, you can’t really compare them. The dual core would be faster of course, but this one is so small and light. And of course, you have to consider that having a C7 processor would get you a great autonomy…
