VentureOne hybrid does 100 miles per gallon at 100 mph
As global warming shows its signs automotive manufacturers are showing increasing concern over making world a safer place and the result is showing already in civilized countries, where hybrid vehicles are note a rarity anymore. One interesting concept is VentureOne, a 3-wheel hybrid.

VentureOne was developed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA
VentureOne is more a car than motorcycle, even if it’s classified as one by NHTSA. What makes VentureOne a car is the closed cabin with reinforced roll-cage construction that offers front and side protection. All this makes the VentureOne 33 times safer than a motorcycle.
But enough with statistics and let’s get to performance and price, the two main concerns of petrol-heads, which wouldn’t trade their Corvette for this 3-wheel monster hybrid. VentureOne is offered in three versions: EV, e50 and Q100. The first does the 0-60 in under 8 seconds, the second in under 6 and the Q100 in under 5, putting it in the same territory as the Ferrari and Lamborghini. EV is slower as it is all-electric, with 120 miles range and 40 kW engine. e50 and Q100 have 50, respectively 100 kW engines and 350+/300+ range, much close to classic petrol powered cars.

Looks of VentureOne will sure attract some buyers
Now, the price: 18.000 $ for e50 and 23.000 $ for Q100. EV has a little more way to go till it becomes available. If you take into account the performance we have a winner here. VentureOne also offers two seats, just like a regular coupe, but what a coupe can’t offer you is DVC (Dynamic Vehicle Control), a hydraulic system that tilts the car at a maximum angle of 45°, making cornering a Rossi style ride.

Here’s how the propulsion of VentureOne works, maybe you can figure it out
You may have seen VentureOne on Discovery Channel till now but I bet that from tomorrow, if the prices and performance remain the same, we’ll see VentureOne on the highway more often.
