While 3D TVs are not yet in much of a demand, they are quickly gaining popularity and media attention. Therefore, every respecting producer needs to have one in their catalogue, regardless of how expensive it is. This seems to be the idea behind Toshiba’s latest HDTV launch, the WX800.
The WX800 comes in two sizes – 55 inch and 46 inch. They are part of the high-class Cinema Series, employing state-of-the-art technology to improve contrast (up to 7M:1), vivid color display and appropriate back-lightning. What’s more, you can connect to the Toshiba Enhanced NET TV to get all your streaming 3D TV needs at the touch of your fingertip.
Prices are within the normal 3D HDTV range: the 55 inch model is available for $3,300, while the lesser 46 inch model is a mere $2,600. Bear in mind, though, that the set does not include the optional 3D glasses, the 3D Blu-ray Disc player or a 3D HDMI cable. Also, the disclaimer clearly states you shouldn’t let kids 6 years or younger watch 3D TVs, because it might result in impaired vision development.
