Say you have $1,599 burning a hole in your pocket, and you want to spoil yourself with a 3D laptop. Toshiba wheeled out the Satellite A665 3D edition, complete with active shutter 3D glasses and a 3D emitter.
For your almost $1,600, you get a 15.6 inch LED display at 120Hz, an i7 Intel Core processor,4 GB RAM, 640 GB HDD and the GeForce GTS 350M GPU (1GB DDR3) graphics accelerator.
In terms of software, you get the Windows 7 Home Premium, the “Sleep-and-Music†technology that allows you to play your MP3 player through the computer’s speakers while its sleeping, and Toshiba’s Resolution+ DVD upgrader that boosts contrast on your normal DVDs.
There are other features to this laptop, such as the HDMI port, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity plus the Harman/Kardon stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio. All in all, the Toshiba Satellite A665 – 3D laptop is pretty well endowed to give you a full-on 3D experience at quite the reasonable price. The speakers are top-notch, the performance is genuine and the fact that you don’t need to pay for the glasses separately is always a nice gesture.
Choose wisely though, and not before checking out Acer’s take on the 3D laptop market.
