We have here a lamp, from the famous industrial designer Edouard Larmaraud.
And it’s not a lamp that is also a pencil box, as you might have think reading the title, no, it’s a lamp that looks like one when is turned off.
Cause the Jumpo II lamp has two positions: while ON, it illuminates your desk and help you get rid of the darkness around, but when you don’t needed it anymore, and you turn it OFF, the Jumpo transforms itself into a little box, that looks exactly like a pencil box I used to have in the 1st grade.
So, if we compare this lamp with others of its kind, the Jumpo is far more portable and easier to store while shut down, occupying a smaller place on your desk, but also satisfies its main purpose: providing light. That’s why this could be a perfect accessory for a crowded student’s desk. So, i guess i should buy one. Ah, but i can’t cause the Jumpo is only a design. Eduard Larmaraud states that he is looking for partners to start producing the Jumpo though.
