Sony TDM-NC1 makes streaming simple, but that’s it

Did you paid a fortune for a Sony Bravia Home Theater? What’s 200 $ more for TDM-NC1, a simple cube that allows audio streaming from your PC and, additionally displays infos about current track?

I have to admit that Sony realised a simple and modern design for TDM-NC1, but for 200 $ we have too many limitations. First of all, this device is only compatible with Sony Bravia systems, the only ones fitted with DMP port (Digital Media Port), a must have for connecting TDM-NC1, and second of all, it is only compatible with PCs running Windows XP with SP2 or Vista, and it only supports ATRAC, AAC and WMA audio formats.

And on top of all, DRM protected files must be purchased via CONNECT Music Download Service. With so many problems you wonder why should you buy Sony’s TDM-NC1. Well, as I said at beginning, if you have a Sony Bravia Home Theater…
