It seems that Sony is giving up slowly in it’s fight with Apple iPod, to impose its standard, because today it announced a very interesting docking station, the CPF-IP001 with dual speakers and a subwoofer.

For 250 $ you get 2 x 5W stereo speakers and a 15 W subwoofer, all of them controlled via remote. As a plus you get line-in, so you can plug pretty much everything you want in it. Maybe Sony said to itself: If we can’t beat it maybe we could get rich on it. It should be noted that Sony didn’t put any “Made for iPod” sticker on CFP-IP001, maybe it’s just a pride thing.
