SlideON, PMP with style

The market is full of PMPs later, all coming with great functions, compact sizes and so on. This one, called the SlideON,  is a little different. It’s still a PMP, still has many features but comes with a great and innovative slider design, borrowed from the world of mobile phones.

Pretty good looking design

Designer Ian Murchinson is "guilty" of creating this gadget. The SlideON can play the most audio and video formats, and has a very nice square LCD. The controls are hidden under the screen, and are accessible just by sliding it out .  That’s interesting but i doubt is that that practical, as whenever you would want to change the track, you would have to slide open the PMP. The device is only a concept and if it will be ever produced, would come with a flash based memory and would be able to be charged via the headphone jack.

Anyway, from the pictures, the SlideON looks great. And the idea of bringing the new edge in mobile phoning, slider gadgets, in the PMPs world is definitely worth mentioning.
