Rinspeed eXasis transparent car concept
Environmental issues are becoming more and more pressing and a lot of car manufacturers are making now hybrid cars or cars that use alternative fuels. Some are plain boring, others are just wolf in sheep clothing, but from this crowd we can still find excellent concepts, like Ringspeed’s eXasis transparent car, which doesn’t compromise style and performance for the sake of nature.

eXasis looks like an ideal car for a beach ride
Its transparent, organic shape makes it blend beautifully with mother nature. Transparent isn’t weightless, but surely is better than metal: eXasis has only 750 kilos, which are powered by a 150 horsepower engine, giving it a power to weight ratio equivalent to a Porche 911. This doesn’t seem too environmental friendly, but remember that all that power comes from an bioethanol 750 cc supercharged engine.

…and there you have the proof
Everything, except alloy wheels, exhaust and brakes disks, are made from special plastic. That means that even the floor is transparent, giving you that Flintstones feeling when you stop and look down. Ringspeed presented eXasis at Geneva Auto Show this year, but made no announcements regarding "when" and "for how much".

If yellow is not your thing, eXasis is also available in blue
