How does it do it, you ask? Well, Color Max is primarily an electronic magnifying glass, that enlarges text and pictures from paper, and displays them on TV or monitor via cable. This way you can read easily small prints or fine text. You can set Color Max to increase text size by 28X maximum and can alter color settings for high contrast negative and high contrast positive for easy reading of newspapers, recipe cards or medicine bottles.

Other interesting facts about Color Max is that it can read from plain and curved surfaces. A bad thing is the price, which at 449$, is not a bargain, considering the alternative: a glass magnifier.
