Radia cellphone conceptNowadays fashion returns to its roots, to simple, yet sophisticated design. You don’t need annoying details anymore and I won’t speak about usability. Any children can use one today. The battle is fought by producers in luxury and design department. For the first time function follows form, and Radia, a cellphone concept, manages to illustrate that greatly.

First time you look at it you think it’s just a lens with an outer brushed aluminum rim, but pressing it slightly reveals a transparent touchscreen display, large enough to display all the informations needed by the user. Michael Laut, the author, managed to keep size small enough and used some ingenious speaker and microphone placings, around the LED lit power button. The only thing that doesn’t cut is the fact that there’s a big chance this design will only exist on someone’s harddrive.

Interface is simple, but that doesn't make Radia less desirable
