The Chinesse imagination seems to have no limit, even though most of their creations are kind of useless. For example, this mobile phone called “The cigarette king handset XYW 3838″.

It looks like a cigarettes pack, but is a telephone and is meant to be used by smokers. Hmmm…

A small compartment inside the phone stores the cigarettes

Actually, this gadget not only looks like a cigarette packet, but has a compartment inside that stores your smokes. Other then that, it’s a normal phone, that provides voice and text services and supports audio and photo files. The internal memory of just 1 MB is limited, but a microSD card can also be used for additional storage space. A VGA camera and a nice colour screen complete the handset. Not really a multimedia companion, but a decent phone after all.

Why would someone want to promote the so blamed cigarettes? Well, actually that’s not the purpose of this gadget, as it has stickers on it to attract attention on the danger of smoking, like any other cigarette packs have. So everything sticks to the rules. The idea is to have a place to store your smokes. And this phone provides a solution for this problem, even though the space is limited, only 7 cigarettes fitting inside it from what i can see from the pictures.

Yes, this device is only available in China. That’s bad for the interested smokers, but not so bad for the others. In the end, don’t forget: Cigarettes kill millions of people each year. So be careful!
