Oppo V5Oppo V5 is a very cool and chick Portable Media Player (PMP), suited for listening to music, or watching pictures and movies. Besides that, it impresses with it’s design. Oppo V5 looks in a way like a picture frame, with it’s slim silhouette and it’s screen situated right in the middle of the device.

Movies should work great on this gadget, cause it has a beautiful 3.5" wide touchscreen, with a 16:9 aspect ratio. On the front face we won’t find any buttons, because Oppo tried to keep the concept as simple as possible. This way all the controls are situated on the upper margin of the V5, being accessible and easy to use.

We don’t have too many details about the technological part of this gadget yet, but we know it will come with a storage space of 2 GB. That’s not much, but probably we could use a card to make it bigger. Also, we have no idea on the price or the term of release, but we’ll keep you posted, because Oppo V5 certainly worths our full attention.

I recently purchased a V5I whilst in China, and i have to say that being a Mac owner, it’s definitely not easy to use. Everything is presented in chinese, Video conversion is a problem, doesn’t play actual MP4s (which is strange, as it’s sold as an MP4 player) Video must be converted to 20FPS and the usb cable supplied with it renders usb ports useless as it claims to use too much power. In english mode, it records radio station names and dates in chinese. The V5I comes in 2gb and 4gb versions, but until conversion software makes itself easier to use, it’ll be a pretty mp3 player at best

I did purchase a V5I too in China, facing the same problems. Although I do not seem to have problems with the provided USB cable.

I will try to get some movies uploaded on the V5I in 20FPS. What kind of conversion program do you use?
