Nokia N99 smartphone first pictures surface the web

It isn’t every day that someone releases on web fake pictures of an upcoming product, in order to steer some fame upon him. It’s once in two days, and now’s time for the latest addition to Nokia N Series, the N99.

From the pictures released here I say that’s a really big fake and I’m also telling you why. The Office Word screenshot uses the same layout and icons like Microsoft Word, so it will be a copyright issue that I think Nokia doesn’t want to address. Second of all, the keys from the keyboard have bumps that look the same as some HTC products. The nine-way joystick has a very feminine shape and the picture looks like taken from exactly 90° so that we can’s even see a portion of the Nokia N99′s sides.

In the end the biggest clue that points to this picture being a fake are the spec, way out of Nokia N Series price range: 9 way front joystick button, 16GB FLASH internal memory, up to 4GB mini SD slot, 16:9 3.2″ wide screen, GPS, MP3, DIVX XVID MPEG AVI video reading, WLAN WIFI, qwerty pad, 8MP camera, 3CCD 720 pixel wide 30fps video capture.

HTC Athena aka T-Mobile Ameo

The attention everybody gives to mobile devices made producers launch new products, that can barely be catalogued. The best example is the UMPC that it's not a sub-notebook, even trough there are sub-notebook smaller than some UMPCs (see Sony products). Today we take a look at HTC Arena, a big PDA, but smaller than an UMPC.
