As Windows Vista just launched yesterday, a lot of system integrators rushed to present their Vista Ready PC’s, to take advantage of the humongous resource requirements of Microsoft’s last generation OS.
Niveus is one such integrator and their latest HTPC (Home Theater PC) is Media Center Rainier Edition.

Niveus is considered the Rolls Royce of HTPCs, I say it is more like Batmobile
This baby monster starts at 3.499 $ and brings HD DVD capability to the table, HDMI output for full 1080p playback and CableCARD for TV recordings without set-top box. And that’s the cherry on top of the cake. The system is powered by a Core 2 Duo CPU, storage starts at 400 GB and what makes Rainier stand out is the fan-less configuration, so you can hear the whispers of Angelina Jolie, not the rattling of the fans.

Before you take a look at the back of Rainier you may want to grab a chair
Niveus Media Center Rainier Edition weights 30 lbs, thanks to it’s fan-less configuration and is available in US and Canada only.

Fan-less = lots of big radiators
