Momento in a frameMomento actually means moment in Portuguese. So, what is this article about? Well, it’s about a digital photo frame. I know, there are hundreds of this kind of gadgets on the market, but this one has something more to offer then most of it’s competitors.

i-mate are the producers of the newly introduced at CES 2007 Momento photo frame. Actually, we have two models, the Momento70, with a 7" TFT display, and the Momento100, with 10,2" one.  Both models have a calendar and clock display mode, can play audio files (MP3, WMA) and support different storage devices (SD/MMC/xD/SmartMedia/Memory and USB).

Not to forget their main function, which is displaying digital images of course. What’s interesting about this gadgets is that besides materials stored on their memory, feature also the RSS technology. This way you can connect the frame to the Internet via a PC and display pictures from online sites, like Flickr or Google Picasa. And we don’t have any wires, because the synchronization between the Momento and the PC is done wireless, as long as you have the Windows XP or Windows Vista OS installed on your computer.

I should also mention that the Momento has a pearl-white matte and frame bundle, that give it a very classy look. But if they don’t satisfy you, other faces can be bought from i-mate, to make your frame better suited for your taste.

I can’t tell you exactly how much the Momento will cost, because i couldn’t find it on sale online yet. But this frame, that comes together with a small and useful remote, can definitely be a stylish replacement for that old photo album you have back home…
