Wouldn’t it be nice to get up from bed, grab a snack and a coffee, boot up your PC from the office building and start working. Hey, but that’s already possible, via VPN networks, which are pretty secure, but when it comes to literally work from home on your office PC there’s no better solution than Matrox Extio F1220.

That’s how Extio F1220 can be used

What does Extio F1220 does, you ask? Matrox answers that Extio it’s a remote graphics extender, basically allowing the extension of up to two displays, two Firewire ports, six USB ones and a keyboard, mouse to a distance of 820 feet (~250 meters) away from the computer case. Extio F1220 user an optical fiber as transport medium, has no moving parts and it’s chip is designed by Matrox.

Of course I was joking when I say you could use Extio F1220 to work from home on your office PC. It’s optimal to walk 250 meters than using a pretty expensive system (the price hasn’t been yet disclosed but I can bet it’s won’t be cheap). More info on the product can be found here.
