Keyboards and mices are usually boring products, nothing new happend for many years, and when it happens costs over 1000 $, like the case with Optimus. A Korean company, Lixiium, tries to set its LED illuminated keyboard, Luxeed, half way between a regular keyboard and Optimus. That’s why it may suceed.

First of all Luxeed has LEDs instead of keys, it just uses them to illuminate keys. Every key can be illuminated in 512 different colors, which can be configured from the program Lixiium provides with Luxeed. You can also download skins from their website and you can set up Luxeed as a video equalizer when you listen to music.

You can also adjust brightness and run different skins for different programs, so Luxeed is a perfect gift for your disco loving fans.
