LG offers new series of HD-TV sets with integrated hard-disk drive
If you’ve watched HD quality movies or TV shows you might also want to record them, for future playback. At least that’s what LG thinks with its new line of TV sets that feature integrated hard-disk drive. For beginning we can choose from 37, 42 and 47 LCD TVs or 50 and 60" plasmas.

Beauty and the beast. You decide which is which
If the 160 GB hard-disk it’s not enough for you, the USB 2.0 port allows you to connect any external hard-disk drive, so the available capacity can go beyoid the 1 TB mark. LG didn’t make available any specifications, but we can expect 3 x HDMI ports, component inputs, and maybe Wide Color Gamut and 120 Hz technology. Prices will vary from 2650 $ to 9435 $ for the 60" version.

I bought a LG 50 inch plasma tv with integrated hard drive several years ago, had it on surge supressor the entire time. The drive is failing, loses channel line up every day, drops time/date, doesn’t record, forces re-format that wipes all data out.
