LG KS20, the new contestant of the iPhone

We all loved the LG KE850 fashion Prada Phone, but we had to agree that its specifications were not really top notch. That’s why LG makes now another try to kick the iPhone’s ass, with their brand new LG KS20. Cause the Prada was called the "iPhone Killer", the boys at IntoMobile found a better name for the KS20: iPhone "Dominator". Sounds like we’re in a Sci-Fi game, no? But we’re not…

Although it doesn’t carry the famous Prada name, the KS20 is technologically far superior  to its brother. The touchscreen was kept, but  now has 2.8"  (240×320 px, 262K colours). Still no multi-touch technology, but we have other cool functions, like:

• Windows Mobile 6 Professional support (shown at 3GSM in Barcelona earlier this year)
• GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity
•  800 mAh Li-Polymer battery that provides 3/180 hours talk/standby time
•  2.0 MPx camera with auto-focus and flash, plus a second video calling camera
•  Bluetooth, WiFi, TV-out, FM radio
•  microSD card slot

It’s not named Prada, but it’s far superior: the LG KS 20 , iPhone Dominator

The backbone of this phone is an ARM11 CPU, similar to the ones used on the Nokia N95, helped by 128 MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM memory. GPS technology could be integrated too, but nobody knows that for sure just now.

Other things are a mistery too, like when will this phone be available on the market, what will be its price or if it will support all the major GSM networks. But, the LG KS20 still looks pretty damn good and the iPhone could be in jeopardy somewhere in the future. Although a fan of the Apple iPhone, I can say that I’m more then glad that many similar models are launched nowadays, cause from this struggle for supremacy the only winners will be us, the buyers.
