Have a look at this thing from Hofman Dujardin, called the “Bloomframe“. What I’m going to present you right now is not really a gadget, but it’s cool nonetheless. If you have a small apartment with no balcony and you’re sick of drinking your morning coffee in the kitchen, then the “Bloomframe” is indeed what you need.
Hofman Dujardin is an architecture company based in Amsterdam, famous for their incredible and innovative designs. The “Bloomframe” is a balcony, but not an ordinary one. Oh no, it’s a balcony that slides in and out with only one push of a button. It’s like the one-push activated roof of the Mercedes CLK cabriolet, if you allow an analogy.
Like you can see in the pictures, after pressing the button and waiting for just 15 seconds, the balcony will smoothly emerge from the wall, forming a perfect place for a quick morning breakfast or the coffee I was talking about at the beginning of this article. This thing looks kind of fragile, being made from transparent materials, but it’s pretty sturdy actually. The designers stated the security was their first priority, so you won’t have to worry about your safety while in this balcony at all.

Hofman Dujardin brings the Bloomframe, your own one-push activated balcony
I can’t tell you how much will it cost or when it will be available, but it really is a nice piece of machinery, from both the looks and the functionality points of view. I think it will go well with a modern apartment in a new built building, placed near a park or something, where the owners could enjoy the fresh air, relaxing on their brand new ”Bloomframe”, from Hofman Dujardin.
