Harry Potter theme park will be built in Florida

I remember that when i was a kid i always wanted to go to the Disneyland, but i didn’t manage to do that untill now. But i will? Nowadays, kids have many more things to choose, even in this restricted theme parks domain. The new (and i can say expected) catch will be the harry Potter theme park, called “Wizardry World of Harry Potter”, that is going to be built in Orlando, Florida, with gates opening expected in late 2009.

With JK Rowling’s books being so popular all over the world (more than 3000 millions of copies sold from what i know), it was expected that Universal Studios would try to exploit the idea further more.

The park will recreate the magical universe of Harry Potter, starting with the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and ending with the Forbidden Forest.

All the characters from the book will welcome you at the park from 2009

One of my fantasies have come true. They are going to build a Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida called “Wizarding World of Harry Potter”. The 1 billion dollar project will open late 2009 in time for the Holidays. More than a dozen artists and designers lead by Stuart Craig, the production designer of the movies, have set up house in the studio where the movies are being filmed to make sure every detail is considered.

Harry Potter and the order of Phoenix, in cinema from July

Harry himself, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore and even the evil Lord Voldemort will be expecting you in the “Wizardry World of Harry Potter”. But until then, don’t forget that the 5th movie from the series, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, will be launched this July. Although not a big fan of Harry Potter (i saw the movies though, i liked them but i was not very impressed), probably because i;m not really a kid anymore, i can’t say that I’m not excited about that. I might even add this new park on my “Place to visit” list, but not before Disneyland. No way!
