Gigabyte i300 PDA Phone is late and pretty common

Why is it that product manufacturers announce new, exciting products long before they actually have them in stock? Is it because they hope we will all make plans, save money, and wait for launch time? It may work for iPhone, but not for a PDA Phone like Gigabyte i300, which was announced in October, last year.

Specs were pretty nice 6 months ago: Windows Mobile 6 Professional, 520 MHz Intel PXA270 CPU, 256 MB ROM (press release says RAM, but we all know this can’t be true) and GPS. Now it’s just a regular PDA Phone. There’s nothing there about screen resolution, but my guess is that it will only support QVGA. At least I-mate announced that it’s Ultimate series, also not available, will feature VGA screens.
