Exchanging business cards is a handshake away

Exchanging business cards is a handshake away

Don’t you hate when you have important meetings all day and forget people’s names and even faces? Wouldn’t you want a simple and efficient way to review all the people you have met during the day? Hideaki Matsui has a solution, a Ring that helps remember other’s business cards by storing digital data when in close proximity with a similar device.

To review data stored on your ring, you have to attach it to a special card with display functions and rotate the ring. Instantly you have access to the person’s picture and contact informations. The ring gets its power from human body temperature, so recharging is useless. It may prove to be a very good solution for business people, but all depends of the costs involved, as user friendliness is not an issue.

To further improve the Ring, I would like to see credit card cloning capabilities, so that it replaces also a wallet and key-less go for automobiles. All this will be possible in future, as technology advances, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
