Ecopod recycling system compacts your garbageKitchen accessories are not quite what people think of when we talk about style and being cool. I think this is happening because many people don’t spend much time in kitchen any more, but some producers don’t give up and are developing interesting kitchen furniture accessories, like the Ecopod, a recycling system and garbage compactor.

That Ecopod does is pretty simple: it stores and compacts up to 50 plastic or aluminum recipients into a sliding pod. Ecopod also has special compartments for glass bottles, newspapers and other disposable products. There’s no automatic crush so you have to do it yourself using a foot pedal, but that should be the fun part, if you think that after you have to throw the garbage away.

Williams-Sonoma took great care in designing the Ecopod, and comed up with a great design and a cool combination of plastic and steel casing, making it suitable for many modern kitchens. That’s good, because you have to pay 328 $ to get a white or black Ecopod.
