Gull wings are a thing of the past, sliding doors await us

Car doors can be easily compared with computer floppy disks. They don’t change too much with time. But change can’t be avoided forever and a new concept arise these days: the sliding doors. I’m not talking about van like slide mechanism, but a more aesthetically pleasing way of getting on an off your ride.

Alex Hodge is the designer that imagines this interesting concept and made a drawing on a car that resembles a Lamborghini Gallardo with rounded Lotus Elise like curves. I don’t know how those doors will fit a two tons truck or a regular sedan, but that’s for engineers to figure out. I’m just admiring the view.
