After the sky-high popularity of HDTVs last year, now comes the awesome 3D-enabled television. Sony has been bragging about it lately and says that in the future, almost all of their TVs will be 3D enabled. In fact today, nearly all popular TV brands have their own lineups of 3DTVs; consumers will have a tough time choosing on that bunch. The technology’s still new and prices of such products are definitely not that affordable. Most consumers will have to wait until they can toss any coin on these.

A market study from Nielsen and the Cable & Television Association for Marketing yielded that a great number of interested buyers will not buy a 3DTV after experiencing it. Video gamers were mostly interested with 3D but as for the others, they complained much about the pricey glasses and the limited 3D content. A whopping 57% said that the glasses were too much and its bulkiness adds some discomfort as well.

These issues are addressed to manufacturers and content producers saying that enough 3D content and affordable prices are necessary to cope with the needs of interested consumers.
