Cario allows you to work on your way to work

We only have 24 hours a day, and when you are living in a big city you usually loose at least two hours a day driving to and from work. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to use some of that time doing something useful, not staring at the traffic lights.

Anna Lopez, a young designer, imagined Cario, a laptop especially designed to be mounted on the steering wheel of your car.

Cario consists of two parts: the touchscreen LCD screen, which displays the virtual keyboard, which will be used to interact with the notebook and a swinging part, that helps mount Cario over the steering wheel. We don’t know other details but I would love to see some kind of protection system, that won’t allow the driver to use Cario while the car is moving. Also there’s the airbag problem, which now is covered by the laptop, what happens if you are hit during stationing? But let’s don’t spoil this great idea and wait to see what happens next.

Luxury and fashion consumer electronics are a thing of the present. We can't deny them any more, so we might as well give them the attention they deserve. Producers seem to do so, ELECOM's latest "treasure" being a luxury memory card reader, the MR-A33H.
