Butterfly, a concept from a 15 years old designer
The most famous consumer products, released or not, are usually products addressing young people. What makes those products special are the elegant design and great usability. If this is true isn’t it best to let young designers design products for people alike?

Butterfly, in all its beauty
If you’re not convinced and think that in order to make a great design you need years and years of practice I have one example of young designer with views that exceed many of the current designers. His name is Andrew Kim, he is 15 years old and currently studies in Canada.
His concept is called Butterfly and is best described as a Social Networking Solution. Butterfly uses a tilting mechanism to reveal the display below the player, which slides at 15° angle. There are no buttons on the Butterfly. Interaction goes trough a touchscreen display. Main specs of Butterfly include phone, digital camera, SD card slot, WiFi, removable/ rechargeable battery, 3.5" AMOLED screen and a second 3.4" touchscreen display.

Butterfly’s interface is surely different from what you’re used to
Another strong point of the interface is that it changes as you browse different functions: music playback, camera mode, incoming call and stand-by screen. Andrew Kim followed a very good principle when designing Butterfly: "Simple is Better". I happen to agree with him.
