Binary can be sweet

Binary cand be sweetI just found one of the coolest binary thingies ever. It’s actually a wedding ring, with vows inscribed on it in binary code. A creation of the designer Gideon Weisz, they are custom made and inscribed manually.

Pretty nice. The producer says that binary represents the fundamentals of a computer, as the wedding ring represents the fundamental stone for a marriage. So that’s how he got the idea of combining this two.

The binary ring
"A Marriage of Values", that’s what this ring says in binary

So, this simple and cool ring can bare your personalized message, up to 20 letters long. The one in the picture says "A Marriage of Values". There are 5 parallel tracks around the ring, each representing a digit in the binary lexicon. The track is engraved for 1 and left blank for 0. In this way, the five lines of engraving which progress around the ring spell out, in combination, your personalized message. Pretty complicated…

And sophisticated things also cost a lot. That’s also the case here, cause the Binary Ring comes for 950$, for the yellow or white gold versions, or 1750$ for the platinum one. But in the end, there’s nothing too much for your wedding, isn’t it?
