Audi breaks out the Clubsport Quattro concept

Audi breaks out the Clubsport Quattro concept

By: Mike  In: Technology  Updated: Dec 4, 2011

Today Audi came with one of the most interesting car concepts i have seen in a while, the Clubsport Quattro.

Based on the sports car Audi TT Roadster, the Clubsport comes with some great looks, very aggressive body and some fancy gadgets in the inside, being a noticeable car for the young and restless generation of tomorrow.

Aggresive looks
The deep cut front grille gives the ClubSport a very aggressive look

No roof, very low windscreen, 20″ wheels and a deep cut front radiator grille are just some of the optical elements put together on this concept. Of course, they are not just optical, everything being made more with the mind than with the eye, like in every German vehicle. How else would you be safe o an car not heavier then 1 tone equipped with a 300 horsepower engine?

Feline's body
With no roof and low frontal windscreen, the Clubsport has a very sleek silhouette

The interior of this concept inspires madness and speed. Seats shaped for a perfect driving experience, aluminium ornaments present on the center console and shift lever, plus the orange and black leather of the upholstery, all are combined in a perfect harmony.

Not sure how fast this car will go, but i can bet it might get close to the 300 Km/h milestone. Anyway, the Germans had to make sure the Clubsport won’t be your burial ground, so they put together a hole series of safety and control devices, from whom I’m going to enumerate just the intelligent ABS, traction control and breaking system with ceramics disks, like the ones used in Formula 1. But, if you’re not a speeder, the Clubsport can also be taken out for a cruise, while listening to your favourite tracks on the Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Spartan but classy interior design for a sports car

For now, Audi stated nothing about a future road car derived from the ClubSport concept. I would love to see even a small exclusive line being made someday, but who knows… The ideas around the Clubsport won’t die though, as I’m sure that elements of this vehicle will be found on the next sports car produced by the German manufacturer in the next years.

Samsung SLIQ, name says it all

After talking all day about stylish products and design concepts I feel like owning such a phone, but it seems that what I've seen so far doesn't really appeal me. That was till I saw the Samsung SLIQ, a black, slim concept made by Mike Serafin. As many concepts and forthcoming models SLIQ features a touchscreen interface.
