ASKA Tripper V, a HDD for your DSLR

ASKA, a small company from Japan, not so famous outside their country actually, launched a brand new portable HDD device, named Tripper V that will perfectly suit your DSLR or digital camera, providing additional storage spaces of 40 to 160 GB, and so much more.

Besides the HDD, the Tripper V comes with a couple of gadgets and functions that would certainly make it a must have accessory. Having a light and small body, it may be amazing how the engineers could fit a 4.3″ TFT screen there, with a great resolution of 800 x 480 px. Your pictures would really look great on this monitor and you’ll be able to determine even the tiniest flaw and delete the pic, before you get it on a PC or on paper. But besides photos, the device can also play MPEG-4 videos and MP3 audio files. So you can say it’s like a modern PMP with a huge storage space, considering also the simple and user-friendly interface of the Tripper V.

Speaking of storage space, ASKA delivers 4 versions of the Tripper V, with a 40, 80, 120 or 160 GB HDD. And it also have a CF/CD card reader. Connectivity with other devices is made via USB 2.0. A wireless Bluetooth connection would have been great too, but let’s face it, this gadget has a lot to offer already. And for prices between 250$ (Tripper V40) and 500$ (Tripper V160), the ASKA portable HDD, it’s quite a great deal. The prices are for the Japanese market, and we should expect to be more expensive in US and Europe.
