Apple TV starts the waves
I wrote a couple of months ago about the incoming Apple TV and about what is this device going to bring new on the living room entertainment segment, so please read that article if you want to know more. Now we finally reached the big day, when the Apple TV was released. It will be available in stores in just a couple of days.
The Apple TV is not the first gadget capable of steaming data from a PC to your big screen TV, but it’s definitely the most mediated one. Having behind a huge name like Apple, people might get over the details and just buy it. We must reckon the advantage that the iTunes service brings to the Apple TV, advantage that can be considered reciprocal though. iTunes brings a lot of multimedia material and the little gadget provides a way to use it for the customers. Of course, there are too other services like this one, but this is one of the most important, if not the most popular of all.

Steve Jobs unveils the Apple TV
All i’m saying is that there are alternatives for the Apple TV. You can find more about them by reading this interesting article in Wired. I’m not looking to praise, nor to blame the Apple TV just yet, no, i just want to find out the public opinion about it. Would it be worth it? Would it not? Could you find a better alternative for 300$ or is this one the best? Can the Apple TV replace you computer as your media files center, or you would rather just stick to the old PC? This are just a couple of the question i get in my mind right now.

iTunes and the Apple TV will do a great team together
I’ll be back with my own opinion and a review of the Apple TV maybe, in a coupe of days. Till then, I’m looking forward for your opinions so please don’t be shy my friends.
