Another use for Windows Sideshow: Ricavision MK140 fridge magnet

Even if at first Sideshow seemed to do little for me, I now have to agree that people really started to imagine ways of using it. What’s coming next is Ricavision MK140: the fridge magnet, a device with a QVGA 3.5” touchscreen and wireless connectivity.

Let’s see how it is supposed to work: you get the MK140, stick it to your fridge door, review what you have to do trough the day, note down with the stylus new things that came up, watch some photos sent to you, check some news and, at the end of the day, you put it to charge, as the integrated battery is said to last at least 16 hours.

Pretty simple, but why not use sticky notes? First because Ricavision MK140 connects to your laptop and synchronizes with it, allowing you to post To Do notes from your computer directly or just review the work you did past week. I think that success depends heavily on price, as not too many people want to get a 200 $ sticky note, but may pay 50 to 100 $ for the fun of using it.
