If you saw the documentary “An inconvenient truth” you know that what causes global warming is CO2 emissions, the worst cause for pollution.

The people who build Alé, a concept car that uses Fuel Vapor technology, has the main purpose of increasing fuel efficiency and decreasing CO2 emissions.

Alé uses Fuel Vapor technology to decrease CO2 emissions

Alé can be called an air powered car, as it uses a higher ratio mixing of air and fuel to increase efficiency. Alé uses a 20:1 ratio, while other cars hover around 14.7:1. Without a catalytic converter, Alé is 20 % more fuel efficient and 30 % less polluting. All this is achieved without decreasing performance: the engine is a 180 hp Honda, which help Alé to reach 60 mph from 0 in 5 seconds. Top speed is 140 mph.

While in regular use you’ll be able to get around 92 mpg, which will definitely help you pay a pretty high monthly fee, as the previsioned price for Alé is 75.000 $ CAD. In less than 5 years the price is set to fall by 50 %.
