Acer Aspire AS5745DG: 3D laptop for less than 1000$

Acer continues its tradition with providing users with low-priced alternatives to the current market trends. The latest addition to the wide range of laptops that Acer provides is a 3D laptop that will sell for $999, the Acer Aspire AS5745DG. The cheapest 3D laptops today are priced at over $1,500, which means this thousand dollar Acer laptop might prove a big success.

The Acer Aspire AS5745DG uses an NVIDIA graphics card and active shutter glasses to send you to 3D heaven. The model has an Intel i5 processor and the GeForce GT 420M accelerator. The 120 Hz LCD screen can play 3D media and its integrated IR receiver will send these images directly to your 3D TV – if you have one. If not, it’s still okay – the Acer will be able to convert 2D images in 3D renderings. No Full HD though, the LCD goes only as high as 1366 x 768.

Unexpectedly, not only do you get 3D in your lap for under one grand, you also get the active shutter glasses included! The laptop will be available starting late October, alongside other new Acer models.
