12 in 1 multimedia device from Brica

The name Brica don’t ring me any bell, but after seeing this product, called Brica Wiemart 1000 DVR, i might remember it. We have a multimedia concept that respects the actual line of stuffing as many features as possible in one gadget, and this one has no less then 12.

12 functions in 1 tiny gadget

Let’s take a look at the capabilities of this device. It can be in the same time:

• a video recorder that can easily record your favourite TV shows on DVRs
• a video recorder that records video as 320×240 ASF files from anything with analog video & audio output…a TV, DVD player, camcorder
• a video player with TV-out support that can play back AVI, Quicktime, MPG, WMV, and Realmedia video files
• a web cam for your PC
• a decent 4 Mpx interpolated camera with 4x digital zoom, no optical zoom, and no flash or night mode
• an image viewer that display slide shows and has TV-Output
• a music player that plays MP3s adn WAVs through the earphones or the internal speakers, with support for LRC lyrics
• PictBridge function for easy printing
• an audio recorder that records MP3 files from the FM radio or the built-in mic.

Not so great looks but a very appealing price

It’s kind of hard not to like such a gadget, even though it has some down, like the not so good camera or the low quality 2.5" LCD display. Like other such gadgets, this one from Brica is good at many thinks, but it doesn’t excel in any of them.

Brica Videorecorder, DVR, Media Player & Camera w/FM Radio (pheu..!) comes with 512 MB internal memory and a 2GB bonus card, for only 280$. That includes taxes for worldwide shipping. So, that’s almost as expensive as an iPod Nano and knows so many things. Definitely a best buy.
